Senior Automation QA Engineer (m/f)

We are expanding our team due to increased demand.

We are working on Symfony and Vue based flagship product – ihreapotheken.de. We use Gitlab, peer code reviews, Docker and automated deploys to Kubernetes.

Place of work: Zaprešić or remote

Role and Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality
Collaborate with developers, POs, or PMs to define acceptance criteria and ensure alignment on product requirements
Conduct thorough functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing, as well as exploratory utilizing manual testing tools to identify defects and areas for improvement
Continuously monitor and evaluate software quality, providing valuable feedback for process improvements
Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and quality assurance trends, actively sharing knowledge within the team.
Manage bug tracking and resolution processes so that a consistent, documented process is used and followed

Required skills and knowledge

At least 5 years in Software Development or Quality Assurance roles 
Strong understanding of software development methodologies and the software development/test life cycle (SDLC vs STLC)
Excellent proficiency in test planning, test case design, and test execution (Jira) 
Extensive experience with automated testing tools (Playwright, Selenium)
Strong knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, Javascript, Python)
Excellent knowledge of defect tracking systems and version control systems 
Excellent proficiency in GitLab or Bitbucket code repository platforms 
Experience with API testing (REST and GQL)
Good knowledge of JavaScript debugging and troubleshooting skills 
Excellent knowledge of HTML/JS  
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration within a cross-functional team
Self-motivated and able to work independently, with strong problem-solving skills
High level of motivation, attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn; a proactive team player

Additional advantage(s)

Good experience in API testing 
Good knowledge of HTTP/S protocol communication and troubleshooting 
CI/CD Integration (web platforms)
Experience with API mocking and HTTP/S proxy manipulation 
German language
